Thank you indeed for getting back to me on this.
 
As you will understand, I am very much looking forward to visiting Greece and hope to be able to see some of your fascinating country during the 10-12 days that I shall be in the country and, hopefully, to practise speaking the Greek language.
 
Yes; please do go ahead and publish my letter.  I will be very pleased to hear from members of Hellenic Mensa.  
 
BTW, I am planning to travel to the USAG is Las Vegas during July 2004 and will be writing a short article for "Visa", the magazine of UK Mensa TravelSIG (which I founded).  In case any members of Hellenic Mensa might wish to receive further information, I will be happy to supply it.

Please forgive me contacting you directly but I had difficulty finding a point of contact within Hellenic Mensa.
 
I am a member of International Mensa living in Cyprus (I am SIGHT coordinator for the island and, although we do not currently have a national organisation we do hope for this in the future).  I have also been trying to forge links with other Mensans within the region but this has progressed only very slowly. 
 
Although I have Greek ancestry, I do not speak Greek well but am keen to improve and am planning a trip to Greece during late November to learn more about the country and, I hope, to be able to practise the Greek language.
 
I am sure it would help me immensely if I was able to make contact with Greek Mensans (not only within Athens) during my stay and would be very grateful if you were able to advise me as to whom I should contact.
